At Carmel New Church School, learning is never confined to textbooks. From our youngest students to our oldest, hands-on learning and creative exploration are at the heart of every classroom. March is the perfect time to celebrate how our students engage with the world around them, bringing curiosity, creativity, and joy to every lesson.

In Kindergarten, children are discovering the magic of reading and storytelling. Each day, they explore new books, engage in listening activities, and develop a love for language that will last a lifetime. For Grades 1 and 2, research projects and collaborative activities encourage critical thinking and problem-solving, while older students explore complex concepts with creativity and independence.

Play-based learning is an essential part of CNCS’s philosophy. Through interactive activities, hands-on experiments, arts and crafts, and cooperative games, children learn to collaborate, communicate, and approach challenges with confidence. These experiences foster both academic growth and social-emotional development, teaching students valuable skills they will carry beyond the classroom.

Our staff are passionate about creating dynamic learning environments. Teachers carefully design lessons that integrate faith, character development, and academic learning, ensuring that students grow intellectually, spiritually, and emotionally. By blending traditional academics with experiential learning, CNCS students become well-rounded, curious, and confident learners.

Families play an important role in extending learning beyond the classroom. Simple at-home activities—like building a Lego project, nature observations, or reading together—reinforce the skills and curiosity fostered at school. At CNCS, we believe that learning is a partnership between school and home, and each family’s involvement strengthens the impact of education.

This March, we celebrate the joy of learning in action. Every project, every story, every experiment reflects the wonder and curiosity that make CNCS a place where children truly thrive.
